AMA Conference Chairman’s Report
Estelle Simmons (November 2014)
Located on the outskirts of Greater Manchester in Knutsford, the exquisite Mere Golf Resort and Spa Hotel played host to the fourth annual Audio Marketing Association (AMA) conference.
In a unique format to previous years, the event began in style with evening pre-mixer drinks before the main conference. This popular change gave delegates and sponsors the opportunity to network with colleagues and suppliers a day early for the first time at an AMA event.
Guests at this year’s conference included On-Hold Marketing Association (OHMA) representatives; Bryant Wilson and Timothy Jackson from the On-Hold Company in the United States. The presence of the Louisiana based pair reinforces the ongoing alliance with the OHMA group in North America, further strengthening the AMA’s combined proposition. Keynote speakers also included Senior Partner and Founder of the Audio Branding Academy, Cornelius Ringe, and Dave Gammon of Sleeping Tiger. All parties presented equally inspirational and motivating insights into ergonomic efficiency, audio technology, and industry innovation and best practice.
Synonymous with the AMA conference event, the ‘Audibles’ awards are the audio marketing industry’s benchmarking awards for Europe. Featuring guest judges with over 30 years of combined experience in the audio marketing industry, these coveted awards are always fiercely contested. Another fantastic year saw the bar raised even higher with more award winners than ever before, featuring some truly excellent productions from Europe’s leading audio marketing providers.
The thanks of everyone at the AMA go to the outstanding sponsors; Lily Comms – Cloudcast, Service and Support and Premier Technologies, sponsors of the Pre-Mixer event, Gala Dinner, and Audibles Awards respectively.
The help of member parties has enabled the AMA to identify some exciting new initiatives for the coming year, so ensure to keep up to date with all the latest news and events at www.amaeurope.org.
